AI Annotations

When you open a case in midpage, you'll notice annotations that appear in the right-hand margin. You can think of these AI-generated annotations as custom headnotes that are designed to simplify your experience reading a case. The AI will automatically identify key passages that are relevant to whatever issue you are currently researching and summarize it in plain English. There are four actions you can take: (1) Click "Keep" to automatically store the highlighted passage and the annotation in your current session's Notebook as is; (2) Click into the text area of the annotation to edit it directly (this too will automatically store the annotation in your Notebook); (3) Click "Discard" to remove the annotation and highlighting; (4) Do nothing, and the annotation will stay visible on that opinion, but will not be saved to your Notebook.

You will get responses that are hyperlinked to the source quotes found within the opinion.
